How to pair and connect non-rechargeable hearing aids to the myPhonak app on an iPhone®
Setting up the myPhonak app in iPhone®
To pair your non-rechargeable Phonak hearing aids with myPhonak on your iPhone®, follow these steps:
Download the myPhonak app from the App Store: Go to the App Store icon, type myPhonak in the Search bar and tap on "Get" to install it on your phone.
Turn on Bluetooth® in Settings > Bluetooth to allow myPhonak to connect to your hearing aids.
Tap on the myPhonak app icon to open it.
Follow or skip the tour. After completing the Privacy and Usage data sections, and after choosing your residency (US or not), you can proceed with pairing.
When you reach the Home section, tap "Pair hearing aids."
The app provides you with instructions for pairing depending on the type of hearing aids (rechargeable or with replaceable batteries). To make your non-rechargeable hearing aids discoverable by the app, restart them by opening and closing the battery door. This will enable your hearing aids to get into pairing mode for 3 minutes.
The app is now searching for your hearing aid(s). If you wear two hearing aids, wait until both appear on the screen.
If only one or none appears, tap "I don’t see my devices" at the bottom of the screen for help.
Once your devices are detected, tap the green "Pair" button.
Bluetooth pairing request for each hearing aid will appear on the phone screen. Tap "Pair."
Your hearing aids are now paired with the myPhonak app. Tap "Continue" to complete the process, or tap "See instructions" (or select "Optional settings" if you have an older version of the app) to learn how to set up your hearing aids for phone calls and streaming.
