How to manage Bluetooth® pairing entries on your iPhone® after updating your Infinio hearing aids to Ultra

Bluetooth® Pairing Entries Following the Ultra Update

If you have updated your Infinio hearing aids to Ultra, your pairings with your Bluetooth devices (smartphone, tablet) and the myPhonak app have been retained after the update, which means that your hearing aids will automatically connect to these devices and the app.

In the Bluetooth screen in your iPhone's Settings, you may see two items for your right or left hearing aids with the same name (see example in the screen below). This is normal, as one item represents your connection to your phone and the other to myPhonak.

If you want to simplify the items shown on your Bluetooth settings, then you may want to remove all pairings items and re-pair your hearing aids by following these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth in the smartphone.
  2. In the list of paired devices, find the items representing your hearing aids (example in screen above).
  3. Tap the (i) icon of each paired device, then select ''Forget this Device'' to unpair it. Repeat this procedure to remove all items related to your hearing aids from your Bluetooth menu.
  4. Open the myPhonak app.
  5. Go to the Devices section in the navigation bar.
  6. Tap on YOUR DEVICES. In the Product Information screen, tap on ''Forget my devices''
  7. Go back to the Home section of the app and follow the pairing instructions to re-pair the app.

By pairing the myPhonak app, your hearing aids are set up for streaming audio and receiving phone calls, as well as for using the myPhonak app. You will now see only two items in your Bluetooth menu, as shown in the screenshot below.
