How to replace the battery on ITE (In-the-ear) Phonak hearing aids?

When replacing the battery on Phonak ITE (In-the-ear) hearing aids, use the correct battery size and placement to extend the device's life and avoid damaging the battery door.

Depending on your device, you will either need battery size 10 or 312, the battery size is indicated in the product name (For e.g. Virto P90 - 312 uses a 312 battery).

  1. Remove the sticker from the new battery and wait 2 minutes.

  1. Open the battery door.

  1. Place battery in the battery door with the flat side facing upwards.

If it is difficult to close the battery door: check that the battery is inserted correctly and that the flat side is facing upwards. If the battery is not inserted correctly, the hearing aid will not work and the battery door can be damaged. The flat side is marked with a “+” symbol either on the sticker or on the battery.

  • Right side hearing aid - Open battery door to the left, insert battery with the positive side (flatter side) facing upwards
  • Left side hearing aid – Open battery door to the right, insert battery with the positive side (flatter side) facing upwards
