Members of the board include researchers and professors in pediatric audiology, master pediatric clinicians and a parent representative to bring in the voice of families of children with hearing loss.
Geographically the members come from around the world and represent the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and South Africa.
Members of the Board contribute to Phonak pediatrics in a variety of ways, including:
- Chairing and developing conference programs and presenting at Phonak international pediatric conferences in Europe and North America
- Participating in research discussions related to pediatric audiology
- Developing Pediatric Focus papers to support clinicians in providing hearing technologies to young children and adolescents
- Advising Phonak Target fitting protocols for pediatric hearing instruments and needed features
- Providing guidance and advising on best practices around technologies and features for children throughout childhood and adolescence
- Providing perspectives from diverse lived experiences and professional backgrounds
One of the important contributions of the PAB is the organization of international pediatric audiology conferences. These conferences address important and timely topics that can advance evidence-based service to children and their families.
