Packshot Nathos Nova M SlimTube

In response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic Phonak UK today announces the launch of two new BTE’s hearing aids to the NHS. Nova is an extension of the popular Nathos product line which is unique to the public channel in the UK. The two new BTE’s powered by Nova technology will be the first members of the Nathos portfolio to boast rechargeability, remote care and connectivity.

Rechargeability

Both BTE’s on the Nova platform are available in battery or rechargeable models. Patients fitted with rechargeable aids will enjoy a full days hearing, including streaming, super quick charging and a battery that’s engineered to last up to 6 years.

Remote Care

Remote care provides a way for NHS audiologists to offer virtual appointments with real-time video support. Adjustments can take place virtually without anyone having to physically travel, making appointments more convenient for both the audiologist and patient.

Connectivity

Phonak Nathos Nova connects directly to iOS and Android smartphones or other Bluetooth® enabled phones. With its built in microphones it allows patients to enjoy true hands free phone calls and can even be set up to deliver audible phone notifications. An additional highlight for patients is its ability to stream various types of audio (music, videos audio books etc.), in stereo sound to both ears, creating an even more seamless hearing experience.

RogerDirect™

Phonak Nathos Nova also features RogerDirect™ which allows Roger technology to stream directly to the hearing aids without having to attach an external receiver. When paired with the hearing aids, patients can address even the toughest listening situations or simply enjoy the freedom of sound the way they wish to.

The two new BTE hearing aids powered by Nova technology will be available to order by NHS hearing care professionals in the UK & Ireland from Monday 22nd February 2021 with the first orders being shipped from Friday 26th February 2021.
