Troubleshoot problems with connectivity to Bluetooth or the app

In the event you experience trouble with your connections, please check that your phone’s operating system is up to date then start by turning Bluetooth off and back on again and rebooting your hearing aids. If a problem persists, reboot your phone. Finally, it may be necessary to re-pair your devices.

How to reset your Phonak Bluetooth and myPhonak app connections – Android troubleshooting


Watch the videos to learn how to follow these steps: 

  1.  Manually close all apps on your phone. '
  2. Toggle Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Restart your phone. 
  4. Remove all three Phonak hearing aid connections from your Bluetooth menu. Tap on the “i” icon for iPhone or a “gear” icon for Android. Forget or unpair the following connections:
  • R-Phonak hearing aid 
  • LE_R-Phonak hearing aid 
  • LE_L-Phonak hearing aid
  1. Open the myPhonak app. Do not wait for the hearing aids to connect.
  2. Tap on “Devices”. 
  3. Tap on “Product Information”. 
  4. Near the bottom of the screen tap on “Forget my device(s)” and tap “Confirm”. 
  5. Now repeat the pairing process for the myPhonak app and Bluetooth connections covered in Connecting to your smartphone for phone calls, audio, and the app.

If you continue to have difficulty, try the steps above again but also uninstall the myPhonak app from your phone (watch the video for instruction). Contact Phonak Support if you need further assistance.
