Why do my Phonak hearing aids switch programs when they receive a sound notification?

When the hearing aids receive an audio signal from the smartphone a streaming program will be activated automatically.

 When the streaming is finished, the program that was most recently used will be activated.  
 

Only for Marvel hearing aids, when the streaming event is over, the base program used for creating the last used custom program will be activated. If, for example, the last used custom program was based on the Automatic, then the Automatic program will be activated.  
 

To avoid this behavior we recommend to switch off tones from the smartphone settings, e.g., system tones, touch tones, keyboard tones, screen lock tones, screenshot tone, app sounds as well as notification tones from messages (e.g. SMS, email and push notifications).
