Why do I hear crackling noise while using the Phonak TV Connector?

Why is there a crackling noise when I am listening to music with the TV Connector and the 3.5mm audio cable?
Verify that the 3.5mm audio cable is inserted completely into the TV Connector and the TV or audio device. If the crackling persists, check the 3.5mm audio cable for damage. If the cable is damaged it will need to be replaced. Contact your hearing care professional for further assistance.
