How to pair Phonak hearing aids to iPhone® for phone calls and media streaming

Connecting Phonak hearing aids to Bluetooth® on iPhone

To pair your Phonak hearing aids with your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your iPhone home screen and tap on the “Settings” icon.
  2. In the Settings menu, tap on the “Bluetooth®” icon.
  3. Tap the slider to turn Bluetooth “on”.
  4. Restart your hearing aids to enter Bluetooth pairing mode:
  • For rechargeable hearing aids: Place the hearing aids in the charger for at least 10 seconds, then remove them. The hearing aid will blink green. Ensure the charger is connected to a power source or has enough battery if you use Charger Go. Alternatively, you can restart your devices using the buttons on each hearing aid. Press the lower part of the button until your hearing aid blinks red. Then press the button again until it blinks green.
  • For hearing aids with replaceable batteries: Open the battery doors for 5 seconds, then close them again.
  1. Your hearing aids will be now in pairing mode for 3 minutes and will be detectable by your phone.
  2. After several seconds, the name of your Phonak hearing aid will appear on the Bluetooth devices list on your iPhone. This will either be labeled as R-Phonak hearing aid or L-Phonak hearing aid, or your hearing care professional may have changed the name to something unique for you.
  3. Select the hearing aid from Bluetooth devices list.
  4. A beep from the hearing aid confirms successful pairing.

Your iPhone is now connected to the Phonak hearing aids for wireless calls and streaming.
