Understanding one-to-one and group conversations in noise were ranked as some of the top ‘most important’ listening situations for hearing aid wearers. Phonak offers advanced directionality & noise reduction features to address these needs.
How it works
AutoSense OS 5.0 continuously scans the environment to adjust the hearing aids to meet the needs of the wearer. Depending on the situation, Phonak hearing aids have a variety of programs that can be activated to optimize hearing in noise by reducing listening effort1, improving speech understanding1, and increasing environmental awareness.
Products that feature Directionality & Noise Reduction
Main features
- Dynamic Noise Cancellation is a spatial noise canceller that works in combination with directional microphones to make it easier to hear in noise.1
- Motion Sensor Hearing detects when the wearer is moving to optimize hearing in noise on the go.
- SpeechSensor detects the main speech source and adjusts the microphone mode accordingly to ensure better access to speech from the sides and back.1
- StereoZoom 2.0 is a binaural adaptive directional microphone system that offers greater focus on speech from the front in noisy environments.

Understanding speech from a distance and in noise are rated as some of the most important needs by those with hearing loss. Roger, your client’s ‘third ear,’ can help.
How it works
Roger measures the surrounding noise level and adapts the volume of the microphone accordingly. As the noise level increases or decreases, the microphone will continue to adapt, so that it can handle the dynamic nature of noisy environments. Roger microphones can provide:
- 3x better speech intelligibility in noise versus hearing aids alone.1
- Better hearing in a variety of listening situations.
- Compatibility with virtually any hearing aid or cochlear implant with a telecoil.

Motion and heart rate sensor track the body’s health data and can be viewed with the myPhonak app.
How it works
The motion sensor tracks physical activities without additional devices and is now able to count the total number of detected steps based on the accelerometer signal.
Audéo Fit tracks heart rate, which can be viewed with the myPhonak app. The method used to track the heart rate is called “Photoplethysmography” (PPG).
On-demand heart rate, which will be calculated every four seconds, is a temporal overview of the heart rate on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis, as well as the resting heart rate.
Where it’s used
During regular exercises and usual activities throughout the day, Audéo Fit and all Paradise rechargeable hearing aids track physical activities as well as the wearing time of the hearing aids. Tracking health data can encourage increased engagement with the option to set goals. 1,2
