How is Distance walked or ran calculated in the myPhonak app?

Calculation of Distance walked or ran
By estimating the step length derived from the acceleration magnitude, hearing aids can compute the Distance walked or ran by adding up all the step length estimates.
Users of compatible hearing aids can increase distance accuracy by creating their Health profile, i.e., entering in the app height, weight, age and gender. Height and gender are used then to calculate distance.
