What is stereo mode of the Roger On microphone?

How to enable stereo mode, which hearing aids are compatible, and why stereo mode does not work with hearing aids that do not support RogerDirect.

Stereo mode, previously known as MultiBeam 2.0 technology, enables the user to hear from what direction someone is talking when the Roger On device is placed in the center of a table. For optimal performance, make sure the USB port of Roger On is facing you when placed on the table.

To use stereo mode, the user must have a pair of hearing aids with RogerDirect and the myRogerMic app. In the app under ‘settings’ you can then enable stereo mode. Stereo mode will then be activated when you use your Roger On in table mode or in wide pointing mode.

IMPORTANT: Do not activate Multibeam 2.0 if you only use one hearing aid. It may reduce the hearing performance of your hearing aid.

Stereo Mode is compatible only with hearing aids that support RogerDirect, as it requires a stereo stream and left/right indication. Only RogerDirect can determine which side the hearing aids are fitted on. Other receivers do not support side indication.
