Transmitters

The FM transmitter is worn by the person speaking (e.g. a school teacher or the hearing instrument wearer’s conversation partner), or it is placed in front of the sound source or can be connected directly to an audio source (e.g. TV or CD player).

The transmitter unit picks up the desired signal and transmits it via radio waves directly to the MicroLink receiver attached to the hearing instrument or the speech processor of the cochlear implant system. The speech signal is processed by the hearing system in accordance with the audiological setting of the instrument, which provides consistent sound quality.

Phonak has developed a versatile range of FM transmitters, combining user-friendliness with optimum signal-to-noise ratio for improved speech understanding.

Any Phonak transmitter can be used with the MicroLink receivers.
