The Miracle of Zander, South Africa

If you asked Louise, mother of little 7 year-old Zander, a year ago whether she thought her child would ever perform normally at school, she would have given you a definite no. Called aside by teachers when little Zander began Grade 0, Louise was told that Zander was having problems concentrating on his school work, often struggling with the simplest of tasks and falling behind in his work. It got to such a stage that Louise feared that Zander would have to repeat Grade 0. However, a year later, Zander is performing well above the standard of his Grade 1 class and has almost become, as Louise puts it, "a new child".
