Another huge success!
Early Identification: Make it count
On 1 June 2006, Phonak hosted another outstanding event for hearing care professionals working with hearing impaired children, during the pediatric conference in Como, Italy: Beyond Neonatal Screening 2006.
The impressive satellite program, chaired by Professor Richard Seewald, explored some of the latest developments in early intervention through amplification. The highly relevant topics included Assessment Considerations for Fitting Infants with Amplification (Dr. Marlene Bagatto, Canada) and an introduction to the new DSL Version 5.0 for Pediatric Hearing Instrument Fitting (Professor Richard Seewald). Dr. Patricia Roush (USA), shared her extensive practical experience in working with hearing-impaired infants and their families, by presenting some interesting clinical case studies.
The event was a huge success. With 226 participants from 44 different countries - it was the best attended satellite event at the conference! Feedback from over 100 evaluation forms, has confirmed that attendees were very appreciative of the information received at the event. There was also a chance for participants to enjoy a lovely meal after the meeting, overlooking LakeComo and mingling with the presenters. | | |
