An International Conference

November 13 - 15, 2006 - Chicago, USA

The Hearing Care for Adults Conference, sponsored by Phonak Hearing Systems, was held in Chicago, Illinois on November 13-15, 2006. Over 400 attendees from 28 countries attended the conference, which was developed by an independent steering committee chaired by Catherine Palmer, Ph.D., with members Robyn Cox, Ph.D., David Hawkins, Ph.D., Richard Seewald, Ph.D., Ora Buerkli, M.A., and David Fabry, Ph.D. The keynote session, “Personality of Hearing Aid Patients: Before, During and After the Fitting”, was delivered by Robyn Cox, and set the stage for a comprehensive array of talks addressing research studies and clinical implications for hearing aid assessment, fitting, and aural rehabilitation. Guest faculty included presenters from around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. In addition to platform presentations, a poster session provided attendees with an update on a variety of amplification-related topics.

The presentations can be downloaded as PDF documents from this website.
